About Ridgewood Woman's Club

The Women’s Club of Ridgewood enriches members with learning and friendship and supports the arts and education in the community. We are a membership of women who together assist hundreds in our area from the elderly to the young, providing scholarship monies for the next generation of college freshmen, holding food drives and other charitable endeavors within Bergen County. And we do it all while building friendships and infusing fun and culture in the organization.

Hope you had a chance to catch the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy Event, we had twelve (12) Sold out shows the weekend of October 23-25th! They came with an extremely professional staff for a unique Poe Historians with four new tales from Poe’s dark imagination to life, each paired with a fresh selection of classic cocktails. We are delighted that they would choose our venue for such a phenomenal show.

This time, the Poe Historians bring four new tales from Poe’s dark imagination to life, each paired with a fresh selection of classic cocktails. Prepare for an immersive experience that will transport you into the chilling tales of The Cask of Amontillado, Annabel Lee, The Pit and the Pendulum, and The Fall of the House of Usher, each brought to life with eerie detail.

Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend! This was a unique take on Edgar Allen Poe's most famous short stories, coupled with special drinks for each of the 4 stories they told. It was a pleasure to host. The event takes place in a dark speakeasy wherein Poe historians and actors tell a reimagining of Poe’s most famous works: "The Raven," "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Masque of Red Death" and "The Black Cat."

Helping Hands For Those In Need - Because everyone deserves a life that is safe, empowered, and free from violence and because we all need a little love on Valentine’s Day; Monica, Mary Alice Coti, and Pamela Swords deliver pizzas, bagged treats and goodies, pies and cakes and personal items to the Center for Hope & Safety to be shared and used by the 20 women and 10 children who are putting their lives back together in a safe environment of love and compassion.
