Helping Hands For Those In Need

Because everyone deserves a life that is safe, empowered, and free from violence and because we all need a little love on Valentine’s Day; Monica Fennel, Mary Alice Coti, and Pamela Swords deliver pizzas, bagged treats and goodies, pies and cakes and personal items to the Center for Hope & Safety to be shared and used by the 20 women and 10 children who are putting their lives back together in a safe environment of love and compassion.

At the Center for Hope & Safety, they help adults and children who have been impacted by domestic violence build a safer, healthier life by offering support, resources, and professional services. This includes emergency and transitional housing, counseling, legal advocacy, job readiness and financial literacy training, art therapy, and so much more.Thanks to your help, we’re building a world where no one has to choose between staying in a harmful situation and potential homelessness or loss of hope.

The Center for Hope & Safety (formerly Shelter Our Sisters) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, founded in 1976. They strongly believe that every person has the right to be safe, empowered, and free from violence and fear. Their mission is to help domestic violence victims in Bergen County, New Jersey, heal and grow through a wide range of services. They give adult and child victims hope and safety, and the tools they need to rebuild their lives beyond domestic violence.
