SCHOLARSHIP TRUST FUND

The Scholarship Trust Fund was founded in 1959 with a bequest of $1,000 by five members of The Woman’s Club of Ridgewood with the goal of establishing a permanent fund to be used to grant scholarships to Ridgewood High School students for study at an accredited institution of higher learning. Since then, tuition costs have skyrocketed, making it harder for graduates to make ends meet while paying back student loans. Funds for this annual scholarship are raised through our fundraising efforts, smart investments, and donations from community members, former scholarship recipients, and current and former Woman’s Club members.

Our Scholarship Trust team is underway with its busy season. Each year we have the difficult task of selecting scholarship recipients from a pool of qualified applicants. Selections are based on academic performance, community and extracurricular involvement and financial need. Of note, our scholarships are renewable meaning that recipients receive a grant each year he or she is enrolled in college. Last year alone, we provided 18 students with much-needed scholarships to help ease the burden of the high cost of college tuition.

Please consider donating to the Scholarship Trust Fund. Your donation will have a direct impact as it will be used to fund scholarships for our recipients from the Ridgewood High School class of 2024.
